I'm on to day four of my little video diary. And when I dug into AI, when I started really investigating, I found myself running around like a headless chicken.
I had to sit down with a copper and actually think it through and really step back and think, what is it that I'm trying to achieve here? You know when you get so caught up in the excitement of something new that you forget to actually plan? And that was me right at the beginning.
I was treating this AI thing like build an AI business in 90 days, which sounded great until I started digging and realizing that I didn't have a strategy. And AI is literally changing daily. And not only that, once you realize the vastness of the learning curve, it's time to take a step back.
So I did what I always do when I'm overwhelmed. Made a cup of tea, sat quietly and went inward and started asking the real questions. What problem am I trying to solve with AI?
What are my first steps? What resources do I need? Where can I make the biggest impact?
Where can I bring my unique skill set of writing, of tech, of nlp, of personal development, of coaching, of organization skills, of business process, management, of consultancy? Where can I bring them all together? And you know what hit me? This might actually be the sweet spot.
Language transformation, helping people navigate change, tech. These are the exactly the skills needed as AI transforms everything around us. The visual stuff still terrifies me.
Being on camera, showing up, putting myself out there because I'm a bit of an introvert. But maybe authenticity matters more than polish right now. So that's why I'm going raw.
I'm not spending hours editing videos because that will stop me getting the real work done. And so my wisdom for day four is that when you're drowning in possibilities and potential overwhelm, step back and ask the foundation questions.
What's the real problem you're trying to solve? Who needs your help? What unique perspective and skill set do you bring?
For me, it's helping fellow practitioners, NLPers, hypnotherapists, see AI as an ally, not a threat, and allowing them to see see how it can help them support more people through what might be humanity's biggest mental health challenge. So what questions help you get clear when you're overwhelmed?
And if you're a transformational practitioner wondering about AI, what's your biggest fear or hope? Tomorrow I start getting strategic. Bye for now, and I'll see you then.
